39' Robert Perry Far Harbour 39

$144,000 | 2010 | Alameda, CA

Description

Designed in Puget Sound, built in Maine, completely unique.  An elegant ocean sailing sloop that stores in a standard shipping container.

Picture this: you can spend the next 4 months here in the Bay, learning this yacht, making her yours. Then spend the spring and summer and fall exploring the coast of CA, OR, WA, and Desolation Sound, Alaska, Vancouver Island. Then put her in a container in Tacoma and send her to Sydney. Spend our winter, their summer, cruising Australia, Fiji, Tonga, New Zealand and when it gets cold, put her in a container in Auckland and send her to Oslo. Cruise the fjords, the Baltic under the Northern Lights, in the northern summer. Winter comes again; Thailand.

In one day, you can lower the mast, unbolt the keel, sail drive, rudder and roll her into the container on air bags (included!).

Exterior is tough, capable, hard-working sailboat. Interior is a joy; perfect combination of elegant and practical. Easy to love, easy to maintain. If you want to see the secret places of the planet without the long passages, and do it in ease and grace, this it it.
