The Cape George 36 is highly regarded for it's exceptional seaworthiness, comfortable motion and proven performance in demanding ocean conditions. They are built rock solid with hand-laid fiberglass that is 1/2" to 1" in thickness. The boat features a full length keel and transom hung rudder. Built as a heavy displacement vessel with a displacement of 23,300lbs. and an internal lead ballast of 10,500lbs.; providing for excellent stability, tracking and self-righting ability in heavy weather. Despite the weight, the 36 offers strong sailing performance, her cutter rig allows for many sail plan options while underway.
